We have had a very busy and fun Autumn Term in Year 2. We have enjoyed so many interesting and varied things this term. Our Theme this second half term has been ‘Antarctica – Brrr Brrr’ and in history we have been learning about Scott of Antarctica. In art and design we have been making collages and paintings of Antarctica. In science we have walked around the school grounds to identify habitats and what animals live here. In geography we have learned to identify Antarctica on the map and name the oceans. We have learned about penguins, written about them in literacy and made them in art and design. In maths we have been learning about fractions. With Christmas ahead, we will be enjoying lots of craft activities and making decorations.
