SPRING TERM 2020
We are going to be listening to stories, telling stories, acting out stories, drawing pictures about stories and writing our own stories. Each week we will listen to one story several times so that we get to know them really well. We will retell these stories trying to use some of the language from the book. The children will use their phonic knowledge to write about a story or to write their own. We will be visiting our school library to find stories to listen to in the library or back in the classroom. We will be learning about the parts of a book such as, the front cover, the back cover, the spine, the title, the author and the illustrator.
In maths we will be talking about shapes, naming them and matching similar shapes. We will be be adding and subtracting numbers as well as continuing to practice accurate counting.
We believe that all our children have the right to
Powerful learning experiences – Feel safe and be happy – Be treated as individuals
We work together to respect
Everyone in our community regardless of difference
We realise that we all have a responsiblity to
Make the best contribution we can
