Summer Term

The main focus for this term is Geography and English. We will encounter Flat Stanley who will arrive in the post. We will learn about the different countries of our Island Home, and then send Stanley on an adventure retelling his story, then write our own adventure! In Maths we will be revisiting addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.   In Art we will look at famous portraits such as the Mona Lisa and other work by Da Vinci,  Van Gogh and Picasso. We will use different media to create our own portraits.  In the second half of the term our focus is Science and History. The garden will be our main focus for Science and we will be planting seeds and plants and looking after them. For History we will learn about the RMS Titanic and what happened to it and the passengers. Openbox Theatre will be visiting our school and we will enjoy participating in their workshops about the Titanic's adventure.
