From September 2014 all infant aged children (4-7 years old) are eligible for a Free School Meal (Universal Infant Free School Meals).

We offer freshly prepared hot meals at lunchtimes which can be ordered on a daily basis (with the exception of nursery children who need to order at least a day in advance). There is always a vegetarian option and a salad bar is available to all children having a school meal.

The government-led Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is run by the Food Standards Agency and it gives clear information about hygiene standards within an establishment found at the time of inspection. The HC3S kitchen that prepare our school meals was awarded a rating of 5 after a recent visit from a food safety officer. ‘5’ is top of the scale and means the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law.

Children order their lunch as part of their registration every morning in class or parents can order their meal for them via the Arbor App.

The menu operates on a three week cycle and all meals are nutritionally balanced. Please find the link to the current menu below. The menu has been translated into several languages and these versions can be found here:

HC3S is an Award-Winning School Caterer

With over 30 years of successful school catering experience, their ethos is to provide healthy, local, responsible sourced food that children love. Their tasty, freshly cooked, nutritious dishes help your children flourish and reach their potential. As part of a balanced diet, the lunches provide a third of a child’s daily calorie intake, to aid concentration levels and give them energy to focus and to play. For more information please see their website:

Alternatively, children can bring a packed lunch. If your child brings a packed lunch remember to not pack too much and aim for a balanced range of foods.

Activities to encourage the children to be active at lunchtime play are on offer every day. In addition, we have quiet areas for the children to sit and talk with friends.
